Tasting Room Station
Upper Vineyard Station
The tasting room station is on your right hand side as you come up the driveway just as the tasting room is coming into view. The upper vineyard station sits about 0.6 mi to the northeast and 226 ft higher.
Air cools by roughly 3.5 °F for every 1,000 ft you climb, so the upper blocks run cooler by day. At night the pattern flips: cold air drains downhill like water and pools in the lower elevations, while the slopes stay slightly warmer.
Those small differences are why grapes from neighboring blocks ripen at different times. Warm days create sugar and flavor, cool nights preserve acidity and freshness.
A summer paradise
When the Southern Oregon sun is high, there’s no better place to spend a summer afternoon than Wooldridge Creek Winery in the heart of the Applegate Valley.
Summer is the season the vineyard shows off, with long golden days, rows of green vines, and views of the Siskiyou mountains that make every pour taste a little brighter.
Grab a seat outside, slow down, and let the summer breeze set the pace for your afternoon of Southern Oregon wine tasting. Crisp whites and chilled rosé are made for warm-weather sipping, and our CrushPad Creamery cheeses pair perfectly with warm days and good friends.
A winter Escape
When the Southern Oregon air turns crisp, Wooldridge Creek Winery is one of the warmest places in the Applegate Valley to spend a winter afternoon.
Our patio is tucked close to the building, sheltered from the wind, so you can enjoy the vineyard views without the chill. Patio heaters keep the space toasty, and crackling fire pits invite you to pull up a chair, settle in, and stay a while.
Cold weather calls for bold reds, and there’s nothing quite like a glass of Wooldridge Tempranillo, Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon by the fire to warm you from the inside out. Gather your friends, bundle up, and make a fireside afternoon at the winery your new winter tradition.
If you’re looking for things to do near Grants Pass, Medford, Ashland or Jacksonville, the Applegate Valley wine trail is an easy drive and a world away from the everyday, whatever the season. Summer brings long golden afternoons on the patio, and winter brings heaters, crackling fire pits, and a wind-sheltered spot to cozy up with a glass of red. Bring friends, bring family, make great memories.
Located in the #1 Wine Region of the US as named by USA Today, Wooldridge Creek is the Rogue and Applegate Valley’s favorite place to sip all year long.
