The Vineyard

A Vineyard Rooted in Longevity

Wooldridge Creek began as Ted and Mary’s “hobby” vineyard in the 1970’s. With some vines that are over 40 years old we can implement dry farming techniques. The roots have grown so deep over the decades they require minimal watering during the dry season.

50 Years of Growth

The vineyard now consists of fifty-six acres of grapes on approximately 180 acres of land, much of which is forested. The varieties we grow are Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Syrah, Pinot Noir, Malbec, Tempranillo, Zinfandel, Chardonnay, Viognier, Riesling and Gewurztraminer.

Bee Friendly Farming

We work to preserve and protect the pollinator populations by providing forage and nesting habitats as well as using integrated pest management strategies.

Our Wildlife Companions

The actual Wooldridge Creek runs down the middle of our vineyard, it provides a wildlife corridor for the bears and other animals who have become part of the Wooldridge Creek lore. Black bears, the most voracious of the local wildlife, help manage crop levels, easily scaling or breaking their way through any vineyard fencing that might be in their way .
